Village of Brighton-Zoning Building Permit Changes
EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2026 the following changes will be implemented regarding Zoning Building Permit application and approval within the Village of Brighton and including 1 ½ miles from Village limits.
- Zoning Building Applications must be submitted, inspected, reviewed by the Zoning Committee, and approved by the Village Board of Trustees before the permit is issued.
- Fines will be issued to anyone not having a permit prior to the start of a project. Fines begin at $100 and may go up to $750.
